About Me

Robin Breger, D.O. (MP)

How can I help you?

I’ve been practicing osteopathy since 2007. My husband’s work as a foreign service officer has given me the privilege of practicing in many different settings around the world. I have extensive experience working with a large variety of clients, including athletes, dancers, military personnel, infants, children, teenagers, pregnant women, elderly people, trauma victims and people living with chronic pain/illness.

My education and training

My osteopathic training at the Collège D’Études Ostéopathiques in Montreal, Canada included over 4000 hours of courses in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, embryology, radiology, psychology, nutrition, professional ethics and osteopathic manual techniques, as well as the completion a thesis project (The Immediate Effects of Osteopathic Treatment on the Singing Voice). Before studying osteopathy I obtained a B.A. in Philosophy (Hon) from MgGill University in Montreal, Canada. In addition to my osteopathic and university studies, I’ve attended over 1000 hours of courses in related fields, including Shiatsu massage therapy, Life Coaching and Reiki. I’ve also completed a a Yoga Alliance accredited yoga teacher training and I teach hatha yoga classes. My approach to healing has been shaped by a variety of thinkers, teachers and practices and is continually evolving.

I am fluently bilingual and comfortable offering services in both English and French.

My aims

My aim to help you move forward in your personal goals of health and well-being. The treatment method I use is designed to optimize your unique alignment by removing the various tensions, residual effects of of injury/trauma and other restrictions from your body’s tissues. By doing so, I hope to give your body, mind and spirit better access to your own inner healing resources and to give your system a chance to find a more adapted way of operating. Osteopathy treatments can be demanding: you body may needs to work hard to adjust to its new alignment and tension-balance.  You may feel slightly tired, sore, imbalanced or emotionally shaken immediately following one of my treatments. But as your body processes its new configuration, these reactions fade and you may experience the elimination or reduction of pain or tension, an increase in mobility or performance, feelings of deep calm and relaxation, emotional release and/or improvement in physiological function (breathing, digestion, elimination, etc.).
